Andrea Dunsby

Director

Andrea is a director of Circumference FS (UK) Limited, where she is the nominated AML Officer. Andrea is also a solicitor with Circumference Legal (UK) Ltd, where she oversees the provision of legal services to clients requiring legal advice and assistance.

Background

With over 20 years of relevant experience, Andrea joined Circumference FS (UK) Limited in 2021. Previously, Andrea was Counsel in the Banking and Insolvency Litigation Department at Dentons UK and Middle East LLP. At Dentons, Andrea managed the Insolvency and Restructuring Department of a regional office, where she supervised client relationships, led business development initiatives, and trained lawyers. During this time, Andrea was repeatedly recognized in the Legal 500.

Before joining Dentons in 2016, Andrea was a Partner at the predecessor of Circumference Legal in the Cayman Islands. In 2003 she joined us and managed her own portfolio of complex cases with an emphasis on financial, insolvency-based matters and trust litigation. Andrea also gained experience in trusts and corporate advisory work, including advising on structuring and establishing funds and acting on collateralised debt obligation transactions. Whilst Andrea worked in the Cayman Islands, she was frequently named as a Leading Lawyer in the Leaders List by Citywealth and recognized as an International Financial Center Power Woman by Citywealth.

Prior to moving to the Cayman Islands, Andrea started her career with Dentons in London and worked in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department at a multi-national law firm in Melbourne Australia.

Professional Activities

Andrea is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Andrea was one of the four founding members of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) in the Cayman Islands. In 2011 the IWIRC Cayman Islands was established, and Andrea served as co-chair in 2016.

Admissions

2003 - Admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands (not practicing).

2000 - Admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
