Astrid has over 20 years’ experience in legal services in the Cayman Islands working for Circumference Legal and prior to that 5 years for one of the major international law firms in the Cayman Islands (Walkers). She is fluent in English and German.
Astrid finished her Legal Studies with the UK based law school CILEX in 2016. Her studies included the legal environment (nature of law, the sources of English law, how the legal system works and resolving disputes), principles of criminal liability, principles of contract, principles of negligence and civil litigation.
Astrid is experienced in dealing with the Cayman Court system, preparing relevant documents for court proceedings, researching and preparation for court hearings and probate matters. She also assists with corporate structures including compliance related services, company formations, re-domiciliation and voluntary liquidations. Additionally, she has experience with Cayman Islands immigration filings and applications.
Astrid has gained significant experience in and knowledge of complex investment fund structures assisting colleagues with their appointments as directors of these vehicles. She ensures strict signing and closing deadlines are met and carries out all corporate administration functions related to these services.
